About the Founders

 Beth graduated from the University of Mississippi with a degree in political science. After graduation she moved to Washington, DC to pursue a career in government. For four years she worked as an aide to Senator Thad Cochran in his personal office and on the Agriculture Committee. She later joined an International Government Affairs and Business Development firm. It was there she became inspired to start One Eye Toad. With the help and encouragement of her employers Beth left the world of politics to concentrate all her efforts on One Eye Toad. Still, Beth knew that in order to grow One Eye Toad from a polo company into a stylish women’s line she needed help and that’s where Sarah came in.  Beth is the designer of the two, but only because she’s the one who can draw. The inspiration for her sketches comes from the more fashion forward Sarah.

 Sarah graduated from the University of Mississippi and found herself wondering the same as many other graduates – “what now?” After visiting her sister in DC she decided she would move there.  Sarah began her career working for her State Representative but soon found out the world of politics was not for her. A bit of luck landed her a dream job for an event planning firm. Sarah spent many years working for the firm where her clients included the Susan G Komen National Race for the Cure, Motion Picture Association of America and The Barbara Bush Family Literacy Foundation. Being an enthusiast of the fashion industry, Sarah wasted little time in joining Beth when she told her about “the toad.”
